November 10 - November 11

📅 10–11 November 2026
📍 CICCOPN, Maia, Portugal
🎟️ Free participation at hybrid mode— Registration required

The construction sector is evolving. Are we equipping its workforce with the skills needed for a greener, more sustainable future?

The Green Circle Final Conference will bring together European and Portuguese perspectives on green skills, micro-credentials and the future of training in construction.

Across two days, experts, construction companies, education and training providers, higher education institutions and policymakers will exchange knowledge, explore the results of the Green Circle project and discuss how micro-credentials can respond to emerging skills needs.

🌱 Why join the conference?

The conference will provide an opportunity to:

  • Develop green skills and explore the competencies needed for the green transition of the construction sector.
  • Discover the potential of micro-credentials to recognise skills and support upskilling, reskilling and lifelong learning.
  • Bridge the gap between training and industry by discussing how education and qualification systems can respond to the evolving needs of construction companies.
  • Exchange European and national perspectives on skills recognition, micro-credentials and the transferability of learning outcomes.
  • Explore the results of Green Circle, including its approaches, tools and pilot training activities.
  • Build new connections between industry, education, training and public policy.

👥 Who should attend?

The conference is aimed at everyone contributing to the future of skills, training and sustainability in construction:

  • Construction companies and professionals — employers, managers, HR and training professionals, technical staff and sustainability specialists.
  • Vocational education and training providers — trainers, teachers, education managers and lifelong learning professionals.
  • Higher education institutions — lecturers, programme coordinators and researchers.
  • Policymakers and public authorities — stakeholders working on employment, qualifications, education and skills policies.
  • Students and future professionals — those interested in emerging skills and career opportunities in construction.
